First finish
Here it is...my first finish for 2012. Unfortunately it's not a quilty finish though. I got this jigsaw puzzle for Christmas, and Emily and I decided to start it on New Year's eve. We got the border done that night, and worked on it on and off yesterday and today. Now it's all done, so I can get back to my sewing! :0)

Pretty puzzle - I love doing these big ones.
Good work! I started my jigsaw on Boxing Day...and it's not finished yet...a few other distractions LOL ....as long as it's finished by the time I have to go back to work next Monday.....a jigsaw is my holiday project this time each year....hope 2012 sees many more finishes for you.
Too funny. I thought it was a quilt you made! ;o)
Glad you got it finished. It is a pretty picture.
Love the puzzle,I have trouble with any puzzles bigger than 20 pieces so well done :) Barb.
That is a very pretty puzzle.
That's the problem with puzzles - nothing else gets done because they are so addictive!!!! It looks great!
Jig-saws remind me of my childhood!! I have only done one large one a few years ago and got it framed, they make great pictures to hang on the wall!
good for you ! One of my friends does lots of jigsaws and she frames and gives them as gifts to hang on the walls. She gets all her frames from op shops so that keeps the price down .happy sewing cheers teri
Happy New Year to you Terry, one thing I cannot do is puzzles...such a pretty one you finished..Hugs O'faigh
A finish is a finish, maybe a puzzle clears your mind so you are ready for sewing. Making a quilt is like a puzzle, isn't it?
Oh Terry that is a pretty one! I have a love/hate relationship with puzzles, lol. Maybe if I had a spot where I could leave it out and just work on it while I'm on the phone or something, I could do it. Seems like my OCD comes out and I work on them to the point of total frustration, otherwise.
Now that made me smile! :) Happy to know how the two of you spent time together, too.
Great distraction, it must be years since I did one, I do like them.
What a pretty puzzle!
Hugs,
Lynn
Such a shame to have to pack it away
Very cute! I think puzzles are alternative to quilting :) Nice and relaxing, like hand quilting...
YAY! What a pretty puzzle!
I love jigsaw puzzles! I used to do those a lot but when I started having a sore neck from the constant looking-down at the pieces, I got out of the habit. I have some quilt photo puzzles that have never been opened. Perhaps in 2012... This one you did is so pretty and would make a pretty quilt design!
How nice for the two of you;love the puzzle! Would look perfect on hanging there on you wall:-)
Well...it is a finish...I love puzzles...especially when I can make them with family!! Have a great day!!
Sometimes you just have to give into these distractions! The holidays are a great time for puzzles!
We used to make puzzles on New Year's Eve when my kids were small. It was a tradition that we always looked forward to. Since the kids have their own lives now, I miss making the puzzles, but this year my daughter suggested that we spend New Year's Eve at her house, ordering Chinese food and doing a jigsaw puzzle. I was delighted!
Happy New Year to you, Terry. Aren't jigsaw puzzles a good way to start a new year? I have a little one that I am going to do.
