Something bright on a cloudy day

I have lots of things I should be working on...Christmas presents to make and projects to finish. So what did I do today? I started something new! LOL I know...we've all been there, done that. I just wanted to work on something different today, so I chose a project that's been sitting around for at least a year, probably longer. Some time ago I bought three cute little frog and turtle panels and then started collecting fabrics to go with them. Today I started cutting and sewing and here's the first top. I have quite a bit of the blue, orange and green prints left, so I may just start another top with the same fabrics while I have them on the sewing table. This project reminded me why I should never buy panels though, no matter how cute they are. They never seem to be printed straight.

And for all you lovely ladies making the scrappy star blocks, it's November first so it's time to make another block or two...or three. It doesn't matter how many you make. Just have fun! :0)

Oh, goody! A new project! Love it! I am working on my scrappy log cabin blocks at the moment. I will make a few scrappy stars later this month.

There is nothing like starting a new quilt. I know exactly how you feel when it comes to starting a new project. I love your fabrics and the colors you have chosen.

I know what mean about the panels being wonky...but it sure is a cute one! I will do my stars next week...I didn't end up bringing the supplies with me to make at retreat. :)

Very nice! I haven't bought a panel for a long time, exactly because of their (sometimes) crooked printing. You don't notice it till you start cutting and lining them up. :(

I have done the same thing...had lots of things I should be doing, and I've grabbed the rotary cutter and started something new. It's a good thing that there are no quilt police!

Yes, I know the feeling. You have to follow your heart. This quilt turned out really cute. Love your Wonky Log Cabin quilt, too.
