Something bright on a cloudy day
I have lots of things I should be working on...Christmas presents to make and projects to finish. So what did I do today? I started something new! LOL I know...we've all been there, done that. I just wanted to work on something different today, so I chose a project that's been sitting around for at least a year, probably longer. Some time ago I bought three cute little frog and turtle panels and then started collecting fabrics to go with them. Today I started cutting and sewing and here's the first top. I have quite a bit of the blue, orange and green prints left, so I may just start another top with the same fabrics while I have them on the sewing table. This project reminded me why I should never buy panels though, no matter how cute they are. They never seem to be printed straight.

How cute! Little diversions from our usual path are fun! :-)
This is a really cute quilt, Terry. :)
I am sure it helped brighten up the gloomy days we are having. Very cute.
Love the brightness of your top!
This is so cheerful Terry!
Oh, goody! A new project! Love it! I am working on my scrappy log cabin blocks at the moment. I will make a few scrappy stars later this month.
It is really cute Terry , I agree those prints are sometimes not quite straight.
Very cute & bright. Hugs,
There is nothing like starting a new quilt. I know exactly how you feel when it comes to starting a new project. I love your fabrics and the colors you have chosen.
I know what mean about the panels being wonky...but it sure is a cute one! I will do my stars next week...I didn't end up bringing the supplies with me to make at retreat. :)
I agree with you about panels but I still keep buying them. The little quilt looks lovely. Terry, I have been making some of the woven hearts and will show them on my blog soon.Hugs.....
Now that is happy Terry...
Oh, that is pretty, love the colour of that border fabric
Very nice! I haven't bought a panel for a long time, exactly because of their (sometimes) crooked printing. You don't notice it till you start cutting and lining them up. :(
I had to laugh, something new....like we need to start something new....but...I always do that when I should be doing something else. Love your something new!
Oh boy, I hear you about crooked panels. But they are so cute, I cannot resist buying them either. Yours is cute and happy ;-)
Oh that is too cute!!
Really cute :-) I know exactly what you mean about wanting to work on something new and about fabric not being printed straight. "sigh"
Love the brightness of your quilt. Hugs
I have done the same thing...had lots of things I should be doing, and I've grabbed the rotary cutter and started something new. It's a good thing that there are no quilt police!
Yes, I know the feeling. You have to follow your heart. This quilt turned out really cute. Love your Wonky Log Cabin quilt, too.
Hello Terry, love the colourway you are using...Hugs Lyn
