Another new/old project

I don't remember when I bought this fabric, but it was at least a couple of years ago. I bought it to make a quilt for Brian, because the one fabric has geese on it, and at the time he had just started goose hunting. Well, it sat for a while, then last year I pulled out the charm packs and started to make a disappearing nine patch quilt. I got one block done and things were just not going well, so I put it all in a Ziploc bag and tucked it away. About a month ago I decided to dig it out and make him a quilt for his birthday (which is the end of February). This time I decided to go with a simple four patch. Here are the first 8 blocks done. I have the rest of the charms sewn into sets now and I just have to press them and then sew them into the four patch blocks. I'll add sashing and cornerstones too. And the one nine patch block I made will become a throw pillow to match. It always feel good to be using up something that's been sitting around for a while. :0)

I understand Terry. Sometimes "it" just doesn't "work" at the time for me - so I move on and come back later. LOL

I think this will be a lovely quilt. I have several projects that after I started, I just wasn't 'feeling' them. LOL Maybe you will inspire me. LOL

Hi Terry! Hope your Christmas was merry and your new year is wonderful! I'm enjoying our winter weather here in Ohio, and getting some of my own UFOs going. Great job on the finish! I think we all have those sitting and looking at us :)
Love your wonky log cabin quilt, BTW.
