A flimsy and some flowers

I can't believe that I just started making these nine patch blocks yesterday, and today I have a finished top. I know it's small, but I'm still happy to have it done. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it layered and quilted.

I love houseplants, and I have quite a few African violets. Some of them are actually blooming right now, which they don't seem to do very often in the winter. Here are two of them...the pink and white one in the bottom photo is my favorite! :0)

Just so cute Terry, you are sewing like there is no tomorrow. Your flowers are very pretty, my SIL is good at growing these. I know they grow from a leaf cutting which is a great way to get more plants. Have fun quilting your quilt.

Happy days.

Good job on the top. I also love the pink and white violet. I miss not having any. Our water did them all in.

Great little quilt!

I am so impressed with your African Violets. My grandmother was awesome with raising them and I seem to do such a poor job with them.

Your quilt turned out great. I am so envious of your African violets. I tried for years to grow them and just didn't have what it took. Yours are lovely. Nola

Wow! You're really on a roll! Your top is beautiful. Love your African Violets too. I used to grow them when I had a north-facing window in my kitchen. The light was just right there and they loved the humidity.

Nine patches are our friend! Cute!

Your violets look nice and healthy. The leaves are so green. I finally have my orchids blooming. One of them I have had 5 yrs since it last bloomed. I am soooo excited!
