Answering a Question

There's one thing about blogging that really upsets me, and that's when I can't reply to a comment someone left because they're a no reply blogger and don't have an email showing in their profile. This happens a lot and it's very frustrating. There are lots of blogs with tutorials on how to change this...just do a google search if you need to know. But for now I have a comment I want to respond to and this is the only way I can do that.

Dianne Mitzel said...Just read a review on line and this person said the cuts were not accurate and there was too much room between slots, I want one, but if it's not really accurate, that won't help me since that's my downfall. I was set to race out and get one until I read that, it sounds like you were totally satisfied with the accuracy of your cuts..

Dianne...you came up as a no reply blogger, so I have no way to contact you directly. But yes...I was completely satisfied with how this ruler worked. I can imagine that over time after lots of cutting, the accuracy could be compromised a bit as the grooves get worn out. But I really don't see that as a problem. It's still going to be more accurate than I am with my regular ruler. I'm thrilled I bought this ruler and I would recommend it to anyone who has to cut a lot of strips.

Thank you Terry, I do not know how that no reply got on there, I am not a blogger, and don't know a lot about what I'm supposed to do, being an old lady. ha. You are so kind to give me an answer, I will definately go get one tomorrow. If I can find out how to remove that no reply, I'll do it right away..I have sent emails to other blogging ladies, I guess that's what I should have done with you, then it wouldn't be an issue..thank you so much!!

I have the one shaped like a diamond and I love it...I will be getting this one soon...I have had mine for over five years now with no problem not being accurate.

I too like the Shape cutter to cut strips, but when I first used it I wasn't too happy. I realized I wasn't holding my rotary cutter straight...but at an angle. As soon as I corrected this, it was fine. Sure speeds things up!

Frustrating, indeed! I hope she comes back to read it. I have used it with good accuracy too and it is especially easy for cutting the strips on the fleece blankets for the ties.

I have had this ruler for years and I have never had any issues with accuracy. Because the slots are parallel I get much better cuts than with my ruler since it doesn't slip. This is one of my favorite tools - have fun with yours.
