Sew-Along Fun
Well, this month is just flying by, and I've got a lot to do for the sew-along. I do have my charm squares cut into 2-1/2 inch pieces. I'm using Meadow Friends by Deb Strain. This fabric is so cute, and I can't wait to sew with it. I still have to cut my background fabric. That's on my list for next week I think. We'll start making blocks in February, but for this month we just need to get our fabric cut.
Anyway, I got to thinking how nice it would be if we could all see each other's blocks and progress without necessarily having to go from blog to blog. So I started a Flickr group, where we can all post pictures of our fabrics and our blocks and hopefully finished quilts later in the year. All you have to do is go HERE and request to join the group. Once you do that, I'll approve it. If you don't have a Flickr account, you'll have to set one up. Then you can upload your pictures to your Flickr photostream and then add them to the group pool. If you have any questions or problems just ask. And of course you don't have to join this group. I just thought it would be a fun way for us to sew along together! :0)

Great. I'll go sign up. I thought I was getting behind. I'm glad we don't start making blocks until February as I'm really busy right now. But I do have everything cut and ready to go.
I think it was real easy to join and upload pictures.

Looks like a cute charm pack to work with. I am still waiting for Hobby Lobby to get Kona in the color I need. Guess I should get my charm pack cut in the meantime.
Something else I've forgotten about, lol. Can we stop the year and start again?

Seems like I'm always behind but today I'm ready to cut for one quilt. Found a background fabric in my stash. It will go nicely with my Paris Flea Market charm pack.
May or may not work on a second sew-along quilt.

Hello,
have found fabric in my stash (will have to order more background fabric, though). It's a jelly roll: Hometown, by Sweetwater for moda. Will have to get creative with the cutting but I don't mind ... I didn't want to cut all those squares anyway. Will use strip-piecing techniques instead.
