Eighteen years later...

I started working when I was in high school, and continued to work until the day before my son was born. That was 18 years ago. Starting on Wednesday, I'll be rejoining the working world. I've been hired to work part time in the produce department at a local grocery store. The people I've met so far seem really nice, which definitely helps to make this venture easier for me. While I am a bit nervous, it's actually rather exciting to be starting this new chapter in my life. :0)

Congratulations! I know you'll do great and it will be fun also. However, I do wonder if you have to go in at 4:00 a.m. as do some of the people who work in our produce section at my store where I work or if you get to work a later shift. Hope it's later! Nola

Best of luck with the new job! I hope you enjoy it and enjoy the new friends you will make there. I saw your post about your computer. I always post from my iPad , get the Blogsy app if you think you'll be doing it more often. It's EASIER than posting from the computer for me!

I am right there with you. I have survived the first 3 month of working after homeschooling for 10 months. Things have changed, but have friendly people around you is a big help. Good luck!!!!

Hope the new job works out well for you. My son has been working in the produce department at his local grocery store for almost those 18 years you have not been working. He can tell me more about varieties of apples and sourcing local produce and price points. There is a lot to learn in that department.
