What happens when I tidy up
The other day when I finished the little cross stitch wall hanging, I needed a hanger for it. So I just used the hanger I'd had this little stitchery on, and I laid the stitchery in my sewing corner. Well, today in an effort to tidy things up a bit, I decided to do something with this stitchery. I found a little hanger I had, but using it meant I had to add a sleeve to the back of the stitchery. I started digging through my fabric and lo and behold I found a piece of the fabric I had used for the backing and binding on this one. So a sleeve was made and attached and now it's hanging in the spare room.

Both projects are so cute! I would never have thought to use pencils to colour my quilts....I need to use my imagination a lot more!!
ReplyDeleteGosh that looks good. Hope the colour will stay. I love the little stitchery too. So cute!
ReplyDeleteA cotton ball or Q-tip works well to pick up those 'dusties' - love it!!
ReplyDeleteThe tractors look great. Love it. Hugs,xx
ReplyDeleteThe stitchery looks wonderful and I love those cute tractors.
ReplyDeleteYou have had a busy day and did a lot of nice things.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun quilts!!
ReplyDeleteUsually when I tidy up I end up losing things...love your stitchery
ReplyDeleteVery cute stitchery Terry, looks great hanging on that hanger! I think your tractors are darling, but I'd be worried about laundering - I have some textile medium that I got at Joann's, that I brush on after using pencils, especially watercolour pencils. With crayons, you just have to heat set. Really cute idea!
ReplyDeleteCute stitchery...and thanks for posting on the place mat! I did find that the markers worked the best...enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLove that place mat, I think there is a certain little man that would love that
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely little wall hanging stitchery and I love what you did with the tractors...those pencils look great.
ReplyDeleteLove your little stitchery pattern!!
ReplyDeleteLove those placemats. Thanks for the link. These would make nice gifts for my great grandson. I know what you mean about not being able to find anything after you clean. It took me over an hour yesterday to find a quilt top after I cleaned. Gads.
ReplyDeleteThat tractor looks great. It must have been fun to do!
ReplyDeleteWhat happens when you tidy up??? Well, company comes! Like me, I'll be over for supper!!! And if you were tidy in the guest room too, I just might be talked into a little sleep over!!! HA!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought on your tractor place mats was to heat set it too. Pretty cute!
