A stocking to stuff

This is Ava's second Christmas, but last year she was too young to know that I hadn't gotten her a Christmas stocking made yet. I got busy this week and that has now been remedied. She has a stocking that will be used for many years to come.

  3. Funny you should write this post. I have a new grandbaby born this October. I set out to make her a stocking but found it was keeping me from getting other Christmas sewing done. Even though I have the pieces cut, I thought, she's too young to know she doesn't have a stocking from her Nonna. So I set it aside to work on after Christmas. However, my hubby felt bad for the newborn and bought her a temporary stocking from Dollar Tree!

  4. oops . . . forgot to say how cute your stocking is. I like how you did Ava's name. That's actually the part that I'm hung up on because I made the stocking collar out of fur fabric. I have a plan rolling around in my head to embroider the name on a piece of felt and pin it to the cuff.
