Fun in a caboose

Yesterday I took my granddaughter, daughter and daughter-in-law to ride in the caboose of the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. It was a great day for it, and we had a wonderful time! :0)

The one volunteer had a little train paper punch and Ava kept going back to him to have him punch her ticket again and again.

There were seats (one on each side) up in the cupola that we got to sit in where you could see out over the train. In the olden days when cabooses were still in use, a person would sit up there to watch for smoke in case one of the wheels got hot. That was before ball bearings were invented.

Now that Ava has had her caboose ride, I wonder what she'll be wanting next. Although she's already told me she wants to ride in the engine. Sounds like fun to me but I don't think that one's going to happen! lol
